WAHOOO! News About About Some Cool New Classes!

I am so excited, I can finally share what I have been up to for the last few months!  I have been working like a wild person on some classes for an awesome new site, The Art Studio.  My first class offering is A Beginner's Guide to Fabric, pictured above.  This class has a BOATLOAD of information about fabric, including some common scrappy uses, as well as characteristics of various fabrics.  It will be a resource you can use for ever.  That is one of the cool features of this class, once you have paid for a class, you have access forever.  I have created PDFs that you can print out and save, included over 20 short videos showing various fabrics, threads, and more, discussed some common sewing terms, and even included a brief review on quilting. I show you how to create some simple fabric flowers, and how to embellish and use them in your cards, which can translate into your layouts and other mixed media as well.  This one weekend class is a bargain, priced at only $14.99!  It will include galleries, discussion areas, and project suggestions, and begin July 13.  I will link you up to the site in the next few days, so you can check out my classes, and those of the other fabulously talented designers.  Here are a few sneaks from class ~

Of course there is a lot more to this class, including tips and tricks on using fabric that I have learned over the years.  Despite the title, this class is not just for beginners.  It is a comprehensive fabric review that will be a wonderful resource for anyone interested in either learning about fabric and crafting, or expanding their knowledge about fabric and possible non traditional creative uses.

My next class will be on creating fabric mini albums, (can't WAIT to share this class).  Here is a wee little peek of ONE of the THREE fabric mini albums you will learn to create in class ~

This class will be available soon.  Once I share the link , you can go save a spot for this fun and creative two week long class (with forever access!!!).  The class will begin July 28, but you can register for it much sooner.  Details to follow!

Well, I am off to work on my classes.  I have SOOOOO many things to share with you I can hardly stand it.  :)  In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy a creative and joyful week.  Happy crafting ~ Pam

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!  I made a simple father's day card for my handsome hubs using some of my felts and scrappy supplies. Here it is ~

I have been playing with some of my fabric and it has been a blast.  It has been crazy chaotic at work, and with other projects I am working on, so working on cards and playing a wee bit with fabric when I have a few free minutes is very relaxing for me.  I miss it, and hope to  squeeze in a bit more crafty time soon!   Til I can post more crafty pics, I hope you have a joyful and creative day.  Take care ~ Pam

How did I come up with Pam's Eclectic Stuff?

Pam- that is me. :)

eclectic --adj.- selecting what seems best of various styles or ideas
*Since I like a huge variety of arts and mediums, this seemed perfect, we will talk about the best of various styles or ideas.

stuff- The noun stuff has 7 senses -
1. material, stuff -- (the tangible substance that goes into the makeup of a physical object; "wheat is the stuff they use to make bread")2. whatchamacallit, stuff, whatsis, sundry, sundries -- (miscellaneous unspecified artifacts; "the trunk was full of stuff")3. stuff, clobber -- (informal terms for personal possessions; "did you take all your clobber?")4. stuff, stuff and nonsense, hooey, poppycock -- (senseless talk; "don't give me that stuff")5. stuff -- (unspecified qualities required to do or be something; "the stuff of heros"; "you don't have the stuff to be a United States Marine")6. stuff -- (information in some unspecified form; "it was stuff I had heard before"; "there's good stuff in that book")7. stuff -- (a critically important or characteristic component; "suspense is the very stuff of narrative")

*What more needs to be said? I really thought about using Pam's Eclectic Sundries, but I thought that might be tough to remember. :) Stuff is easy and conveys a variety of meanings. I like the definition- miscellaneous unspecified artifacts. I also liked whatchamacallit, but that is a lot of typing. :)

So there you have it!
