Hello! Have you been busy crafting, or gardening?

I have been doing a bit of each.  I am still working on the project I hope to share soon, but I have also managed to squeeze in some time to garden.  Unfortunately while doing the simple task of weeding around some shrubbery in the yard, I picked up poison ivy, or poison sumac, or poison oak.  To make matters worse, it is on my face!  Woe is me!  While I am waiting for this dratted stuff to go away, I think I will stay indoors, away from the weeds, and in my scrap room.  maybe play with some art journals a bit, I have been a misting maniac lately.  :)  I have also been videoing a wee bit, and hope to start learning to edit videos.  Here is a little snippet of some baby birds who are nesting on our windowsill in the dining room (unedited video).  It has been amazing watching them grow!  Well, I think I will go work on a few projects, so I will close for now.  I hope you enjoy beautiful weather, and stay away from the poison ivy!  Happy crafting!  I wish you a joyful and creative week ~ Pam

Quick Yet Elegant Stamped Thank You Cards

Hello everybody!  Sorry I haven't posted in a few weeks, but I was in Chicago on the weekends for several weeks for a class, and running around like crazy at work during the week.  It was soooooo busy, wheeeew, glad I am finished with those projects.  I have also been working like a wild woman on my classes for The Art Studio, can't WAIT to tell you more about them.  Until then, I have a few pics of some simple stamped cards I made this week.  Hope you like them! I have been trying to build my stash of handmade cards back up, but for some reason it seems like as soon as I make a batch they are gone.  Hopefully I will have a chance to actually add some to my stash soon.  :)

I have been working on our garden too.  Here is a pic that is a few weeks old, you should see the plants now!  Oh my, they are growing like crazy.  I have split and repotted so many tomatoes, jalepenos, sweet peppers, some basil, cilantro and more, just waiting til we can plant things outside.  Hopefully we will have a great yield this year so we can share and can boatloads of pickles, pickled peppers, and salsa.  I just planted the cucs and pickling cucs in little cups, and some of the pickling cucs are already shooting up, YAY!

I watched two of the grand kids last Friday before I drove to Chicago, and took some fun pics.  I can't believe how big they are getting.

Kaya of course is usually running ~

Cooper usually has that mischievous little smirk going ~

But they are loads of fun and usually play pretty well together.

Well, I am off to work on my classes now.  I will share more deets as I am able to.  In the meantime, I hope you have a joyful and creative week ~ Pam

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!!!  I hope you enjoyed the day with family and friends.  I did not have much time to craft this week, but I did make some fun little "egg" cupcakes ~

They were pretty tasty too.  The cupcakes were white, frosting was cream cheese frosting, and the "yolk" was tinted lemon pie filling.  The broken shells were made with white chocolate.  I washed and dried the styrofoam egg carton before I used it too.  :)

Of course we had an egg hunt today, and the weather was beautiful.  We had a boatload of eggs, here is my handsome hubs hiding the eggs before the grandkiddies arrive ~

Cooper looks around, there are LOTS of eggs and boy they are everywhere!

Kaya loads up ~

Bitsy little Hollyn searches too, assisted by her parents ~

Come on Dad, let's get more eggs!~

Kaya gives a "thumbs up" after dinner ~

Cooper is trying to figure these crazy glasses out!  He sure looks cute ~

Look at those cutie bunnies!

Little Ms. Hollyn shows off those new teeth ~

Hollyn tells Auntie Cort Happy Easter!

That is it for me this week, but I will hopefully have a few sneaks to share with you next week.  That is, I hope to have some crafty time this week so I can share something next week (fingers crossed).

I wish you all a joyful and creative week ~ Pam

A Winner, Blog Post Project Sneak Peek, Easter Egg Hunt Time, and News!

Hello everyone!  First, let's pick the winner of last weeks drawing. Thanks for commenting! I put all three names in a hat, and the winner is ~ Melissa!  Melissa, please send me your snail mail addie and I will pick one card from those pictured below and send it out to you right away with the three little stamps and clear block.  You can email me at pmooie at hotmail.com (please take out the spaces, and put the @ in instead of the word at).

I have a pretty detailed blog post going up on the Bind-It-All Blog this month, not sure when it will be posted, but here is a wee little sneak peek of my project ~

Hope you all enjoyed a beautiful Spring week.  It was chilly off and on, but the weather held yesterday for an Easter Egg Hunt.  My hubs and I went to cheer on the oldest grandkiddies (4 year old Kaya and 3 year old Cooper).  It was so fun to watch the kids, little Kaya ran around looking only for pink eggs, while Cooper picked up an egg and thought that was enough.  He eventually picked up a few more eggs, but his favorite part was peeking inside the eggs and chowing down the candy.

Waiting to begin ~

skip those non pink eggs ~

peek inside Kaya's bag, we put the blue egg in there, and the yellow is a coupon ~

Little ones are so funny!  I love that I am fortunate enough to spend time with them.  We are having an egg hunt at our house next Sunday before Easter dinner, all three grandkiddies will be there, plus a few neighbor children.  Hope the weather cooperates!

OK, remember when I said I had exciting news to share?  I can't give all the details yet, but the news is ~ I will be teaching some online classes soon.  I am so excited, it is going to be amazing!  The format is incredible, and I am fortunate enough to be working with some very talented peeps.  I will share more details as it gets closer. I can tell you though, I am playing with things like this getting ready for one class ~

Can't wait to share details, woo!  In the meantime, I better get back to my crafty space and start playing a bit more.  This is one of the fun things about teaching, playing with supplies and developing content.  :)

I wish you a joyful and creative week ~ Pam

Time for Cards! Happy Spring too. :)

Hello!  How are you all doing today?  Hopefully fabulously.  I had time to play with my inks, stamps, mists, and some of my embossing folders for a bit of time this weekend, and made a few cards, as well as some background paper for my stash.  I haven't had time to do so in quite a while, and I loved every second of it!!!  Nothing like stained fingers and bits of colorful paper to make a girl feel like spring is here.  If that wasn't enough, my hubs and I also scrubbed and washed our wooden fence this week, which let me tell you was QUITE the job.  We also spent some time today cleaning up the ginormous garden since we did not have a chance to do so last fall by pulling boatloads of weeds, rototilling (well, he did the rototilling part), and thinning out the raspberry bushes.  Woooo, love this beautiful weather, but it is tiring!  heh heh heh  I also started going through some of my stuff for indoor spring cleaning.  I discovered some stamps that were duplicates, so I decided to pass them on to some one else in a wee giveaway. If you would like a chance to win them, please leave me a comment letting me know which card you like best out of the 4 same size cards I made this weekend (shown here) ~

Here are the stamps ~

I will include that card with the stamps and little clear acrylic block for one lucky commenter as a giveaway (please be sure to leave a way for me to contact you)

It was my hubs birthday this week too, the first day of spring (see the fence in the background?  That was a LOT of scrubbing!) ~

We had a family dinner last Sunday to celebrate.  The weather was gorgeous, and the grandkiddies all loved playing with bubbles while enjoying the afternoon sunshine.

Here are some photos of my creative time this weekend.  First is a bit of the homemade background paper cut into small size embossed bits, and some words, butterflies, and a few flowers  ~

Some background paper, wish you could see the lovely sparkle from the mists ~

More background paper, misted, inked, stamped, and heat embossed ~

Close up of some of the bits, I used some of the Pearl Smooch to go over certain embossed and inked areas to make it sparkle a bit more ~

The pearl Smooch is fun to play with, just like painting with a pointed nail polish brush, easy to get fine details  ~

A card I made for someone, it opened the door to creating additional cards in the same sitting ~

See that fun sparkle?  Love sparkle!

Did you notice the two fabric strips?  Gotta have fabric on a fun card!

My weekend card creations ~

I have other big, big, BIG news, but I can't share it yet.  As soon as I am able to though, you will be the first to know.  I can't wait to tell you, I am so excited (jumping up and down).  In the meantime, don't forget to comment on this post letting me know your favorite for a chance to win the card, and the little stamps and acrylic block.  I will pick one lucky winner next Sunday.  I look forward to hearing back from you!
I wish you a joyful and creative week ~ Pam

Happy Almost Spring!

Wow, the weather was beautiful here today!  I can't WAIT for spring to arrive!   I took the snowman display down in the dining room, and added some springy things instead ~

Close up of the two little bitsy gnomes, they are so dang cute ~

Close up of some bunnies for Easter ~

We decided to get out some of the lawn furniture today, and do some yard clean up.  I worked on cleaning some of the front area, here is an after shot  ~

This is the other side of the walkway, and what the right side looked like when I started.  GEEZ, those dang leaves were hard to clean out of the plants!!! ~

We are having 5 large trees cut down, to try to open up the pool to some sun, and to cut down on yard work and leaves.  The tree pictured closest to the driveway is staying, the other 3 are hopefully gone soon ~

A view from the other side of the yard (the tree on the far right is the one staying, the other 3 are going) ~

My beautiful daughter had a birthday a little over a week ago.  She wanted a sewing machine for her birthday, her first sewing machine!  I was as happy as she was I think.  :)  ~

We had to change the day we got together to celebrate her birthday, so it was definitely a casual one.  I wanted to make fun cupcakes for her cake, but did not have time.  Instead she got a yummy cake, but not a fancy schmancy one.  Cooper is helping his mumma blow out the candles here, can you tell? ~

I am working on a new mini album and will be posting pics and a tutorial on the bind-it-all blog in the next month.  I am also working on boatloads of birthday cards, gotta rebuild my stash!  I hope to have some pics to share with you next week.  If I can move after all the yard work!  :)
I hope you all enjoy a wonderful spring like week!  Have a joyful and creative week too ~ Pam

How did I come up with Pam's Eclectic Stuff?

Pam- that is me. :)

eclectic --adj.- selecting what seems best of various styles or ideas
*Since I like a huge variety of arts and mediums, this seemed perfect, we will talk about the best of various styles or ideas.

stuff- The noun stuff has 7 senses -
1. material, stuff -- (the tangible substance that goes into the makeup of a physical object; "wheat is the stuff they use to make bread")2. whatchamacallit, stuff, whatsis, sundry, sundries -- (miscellaneous unspecified artifacts; "the trunk was full of stuff")3. stuff, clobber -- (informal terms for personal possessions; "did you take all your clobber?")4. stuff, stuff and nonsense, hooey, poppycock -- (senseless talk; "don't give me that stuff")5. stuff -- (unspecified qualities required to do or be something; "the stuff of heros"; "you don't have the stuff to be a United States Marine")6. stuff -- (information in some unspecified form; "it was stuff I had heard before"; "there's good stuff in that book")7. stuff -- (a critically important or characteristic component; "suspense is the very stuff of narrative")

*What more needs to be said? I really thought about using Pam's Eclectic Sundries, but I thought that might be tough to remember. :) Stuff is easy and conveys a variety of meanings. I like the definition- miscellaneous unspecified artifacts. I also liked whatchamacallit, but that is a lot of typing. :)

So there you have it!
