WOW, 2012 is full of new things!

I had a great day today, I spent it making sushi with my family!  Well, my hubby does not like sushi, so he just watched from the sidelines.  But Cort, Jay, Cara, Kaya and I all pitched in and made some yummy sushi.  We are going to try new things in 2012, and I am soooooo happy about that.  Last year was a crazy goat rodeo of a year, in a good way most of the time, but still a wild, hang onto your hat, don't let go or look down just GO, no time for anything kind of year.  I am looking forward to getting back to crafting, sewing, scrapping, quilting, cooking, and spending fun time with my family.  I also plan to get back in the habit of becoming a regular blogger again too!  So here's to 2012 ~ YAHOO, so glad you are here!
Here are a few pics of our sushi making day ~

Cort stirs the rice vinegar concoction into our sushi rice.

My beautiful yet silly daughter, what a ham!

Some supplies

Sweet little Kaya wanted to help, so she had to wash her hands really well first.

scrub scrub scrub!

All clean!

Definitely a casual day!  ;)

Look at all those yummy veggies!

Ready to start assembling!

Jay and Cara work on creating yummy and beautiful sushi.

Jay put wasabi paste on his sushi as soon as they were ready.

WOOOO, look at that stash of sushi!  Cort even made some of the inside out sushi, she has crazy mad sushi skills, especially for a beginner.

YUMMY!

Look at our cutie Hollyn, she is checking everything out.  Nothing is safe from those little hands now!  :)

Our next cooking project is going to be tamales.  Cort learned how to make some recently, so she is going to be our instructor.  :)  That will be in a few weeks, I will be sure to take pics and share.  We are going to be worldly chefs before long, woooo!  This week I will be gathering boatloads of valentines fabrics from my fabric stash, as I have a few things I want to make the grandkiddies.  I hope to start on them Friday, then start SCRAPPIN again!  YAHOO!  My word, I love being able to just make stuff again.  What a wonderful wonderful feeling.  Being able to share it with people I love is another perk.  I feel truly truly blessed.  I hope you all have a blessed 2012 too!
Have a joyful and creative week ~ Pam

yum! you make your own, how cool. Always wanted to but I cheat and just buy it lol!

How did I come up with Pam's Eclectic Stuff?

Pam- that is me. :)

eclectic --adj.- selecting what seems best of various styles or ideas
*Since I like a huge variety of arts and mediums, this seemed perfect, we will talk about the best of various styles or ideas.

stuff- The noun stuff has 7 senses -
1. material, stuff -- (the tangible substance that goes into the makeup of a physical object; "wheat is the stuff they use to make bread")2. whatchamacallit, stuff, whatsis, sundry, sundries -- (miscellaneous unspecified artifacts; "the trunk was full of stuff")3. stuff, clobber -- (informal terms for personal possessions; "did you take all your clobber?")4. stuff, stuff and nonsense, hooey, poppycock -- (senseless talk; "don't give me that stuff")5. stuff -- (unspecified qualities required to do or be something; "the stuff of heros"; "you don't have the stuff to be a United States Marine")6. stuff -- (information in some unspecified form; "it was stuff I had heard before"; "there's good stuff in that book")7. stuff -- (a critically important or characteristic component; "suspense is the very stuff of narrative")

*What more needs to be said? I really thought about using Pam's Eclectic Sundries, but I thought that might be tough to remember. :) Stuff is easy and conveys a variety of meanings. I like the definition- miscellaneous unspecified artifacts. I also liked whatchamacallit, but that is a lot of typing. :)

So there you have it!
